Had a great time celebrating my little bumble bee's 2nd Birthday!
Plain sugar cookies with yellow candy melt frosting and sugar bees.

My favorite part of doing parties is making the cake myself. I always do funfetti cake mix on the inside because kids love it! I used chocolate frosting to make the "trunk" and to make the beehive, I used the wilton cupcake pan. The rest is dyed buttercream. I like to use the Wilton recipe because it's yummy, easy to work with, and is good for decorating.
Bumble bee cake pops that I made with the babycakes cake pop maker. The flavor is lemon and I used yellow candy melts for the body, white candy melts (unmelted and cut in half) for the wings, and black gel frosting in a tube made by Wilton.

For favors, I put honeycomb cereal and sugar bees in honey bear bottles.
Bumblebee headbands were fun craft for the kids. With headbands, black pipecleaners and glittery gold pom poms, kids were able to make their own bee headband.
I added the pom poms to the pipe cleaners so all the kids needed to do was twist the pipe cleaner around the black plastic head band. Available for sale at my etsy shop:

I had a tough time finding a cute bee themed pinata. I found a pumpkin pinata and covered it in yellow streamers. It held together with the help of modge podge.
My sweet princess! We made her head band a little bigger since she was the birthday girl!
